A life saving system (1) for avalanches has at least one inflatable buoyant body (2, 3) secured close to the body of the user, a filling unit (4, 5), a pressurised gas unit (6) with a pressurised gas container (7) and a triggering device (8). The filling unit (4, 5) is arranged within the buoyant body (2, 3). The filling unit can have an ejector nozzle for aspirating ambient air.

Improvements in Legs for Dismantlable Articles of Furniture or the like.
GB3116167A
DE
1,165,033. Folding legs for furniture. H. BAUER. 6 July, 1967 [7 July, 1966], No. 31161/67. Heading A4H. Each leg of a piece of furniture comprises three resilient struts 4 which are welded together at the floor ends and which are bent outwardly at their upper ends 5 and sprung into holes in lugs 7, (8), 9 on a base plate 2 secured to the piece of furniture. Alternatively the bent ends 5 may be sprung into sockets in the piece of furniture. Two of the bent ends 5 are in alignment and form a hinge for the leg when the third bent end is disengaged from its lug (8). The leg is locked in erected position by a spring urged plate 11 which engages the struts 4 and is slidably mounted on pins 10 on the base plate 2. The spring urged plate may be replaced by a pivoted gravity operated stirrup (54 Fig.4).

In a FLIR/laser based targeting and imaging system, the ability to recognize, detect, locate, and/or track targets in an area of interest is significantly improved by reducing the fixed and dynamic alignment errors between the IR LOS and the laser LOS. Fixed alignment errors are reduced with an improved internal boresight module and corresponding boresight method. Dynamic alignment errors are reduced with an opto-electric subsystem that employs a single pitch bearing and a common pitch/yaw afocal for both the laser energy and the IR energy. A segmented window in the system housing includes a circular EMI grid pattern which significantly reduces the amount of off-axis EMI entering the optical pathways, and improved signal processing techniques are employed to enhance the quality of the IR image after the image has been digitized.

Method and device for contamination-free transport of pourable bulk product
US13455231
[Helmuth Bauer, Christian Leist]
DE Buchen
A method for substantially contamination-free transport of pourable bulk product from a dosing unit into a container is proposed, wherein the dosing outlet of the dosing unit is connected in a detachable manner with the receiving inlet of the container, the dosing outlet and the receiving inlet are opened, and the bulk product is transported into the container from the dosing unit via its dosing outlet and via the receiving inlet of the container. The receiving inlet of the container is disposed at the dosing unit by means of an elastic joining element to prevent transfer of forces between the dosing unit and the container during the dosing process. A device for carrying out such a method is also proposed.
